La punta di diamante dell’azienda remains the 'Villa Gemma', without any doubt. In the company I bought and tasted a bit 'entire product line, today I decided to write some notes on' ISKRA, a IGT line Marina Cvetic.

The 2003 was the first year and yesterday I opened the bottle in his cellar.

The wine is made with Montepulciano grapes alone, aged in barrels for 12 months and aged for 24 months in bottle.

poured into the glass the color is still dark ruby, with a slight edge garnet tones, good texture. The smell is intense and complex: the thread is tied to scents of black cherries and red flowers withered. It then outlines aromas that lead back to chocolate, juniper and sweet tobacco and then close with a hint of talc and menthol. Tasting presents powerful, warm and pleasantly soft. Of good workmanship, the texture of the tannins, fine and good substance. Do not underestimate the great dynamism and a long finish with balsamic returns in the finale.

A wine that you drink in spite of his irrepressible and that I matched with a simple bread and pork. Certainly did not disappoint my expectations.
